By Gregory Howard

It is good to appreciate diversity. In the world, diversity is the order of the day. No two people are the same. Also, Reno OBGYN professionals have diverse skills and experiences. Even in the work place, there are diverse professionals. That is why there are OBGYN experts and those who are considered as beginners. The difference is not about talent. It is rather about experience. To get experience is a matter of hard work. Talent does not play a big role in success. What matters most is the diligence of an individual. There is need to put in the hours.

When talking about OBGYN professionals, they can be classified into two broad classes: the novices and the experts. Definitely, someone who has just graduated with a medical degree is not the same as the individual who has practiced for years. First, the fresh graduate knows very little apart from the theories. Thus, he has to go for residency for at least one year.

The cream of the medical industry, are the experts. These are the most highly paid professionals in the industry. They are also addressed with lofty titles. It is prestigious to be a consultant in any niche. There is always a special consultancy fee that is far above the normal consultation charges normally charged by non-experts. The expert lives the good life.

It is no easy feat to be an expert in gynecology and obstetrics. Many people usually try to obtain that status and they fail. They end up giving up along the way because of lacking the right attitude. Thus, the few recognized as experts are definitely experts merely because they possess highly advanced qualifications from top rated American academic institutions.

The hallmark of an expert is the fact that he possesses a wide bank of knowledge and skills. This is because of being exposed to many things. As a result of being highly knowledgeable, competent and skilled, he is an asset not only to the hospital where he works but also to his nation and the world in general.

The beginner should always strive to learn from practitioners who are more senior than her. There are skills that are only learned through real life interactions. In campus, one learned a lot through books and laboratory lessons. In the real world, things are different. It is all about apprenticeship. That is how competence is passed from the seniors to juniors.

There is always the beginning of a career. That is not where someone will be after a year or two. Even better, after a decade of experience, one will be in a lofty place. All that is needed is for one to keep improving her skills. The world is changing fast and one should keep up with the pace of change.

In any profession, seniority is achieved after many years of experience. Someone with over three decades of experience is likely to be the senior in the world of gynecology. That individual has to be respected by all the juniors because she is the ultimate authority when it comes to OBGYN matters. To succeed, a professional has to work very hard.
