In high school I was on my school's marching band and color guard team. We had an approximately 10 minute long show that we practiced and rehearsed day in and day out until the big day of the competition in the faraway land of Indianapolis, Indiana. While my friend was rehearsing a toss on her rifle, instead of catching it the way she had always practiced the wind blew it and it ended up coming down on her head. Specifically, her tooth. It knocked her tooth right out, and she was whisked away.
From then on my high school has always kept track of the nearest emergency facilities they can access wherever they travel, including dental emergencies. Because they were able to rush her to the dentist as soon as possible they were able to recover her tooth with minimal pain and damage.
As adults though, the toothbrush selecting process becomes much more important, and can be extremely stressful. Many adults find themselves standing in the toothbrush aisle for hours, wondering what kind of bristles they should purchase. Soft? Hard? Medium?
In such a confusing world of toothbrush options, it is increasingly important to have trustworthy guides. Remember that finding the right toothbrush for you is important, but it should not overwhelm you.Soft bristles, for example, are extremely useful for maintaining clean teeth, while avoiding tooth sensitivity that is becoming so rampant in our society. Keep in mind that a thorough brushing with soft bristles, is always better that a quick runner over with those stiff suckers.
Toothbrush heads, though attractively styled, serve an actual purpose in the world of toothbrushers. Remember to find a toothbrush with a head that is neither too wide nor too narrow, that fits comfortably into the expanses of your mouth, and that can dutifully reach every corner of every tooth.
It is an often undervalued fact that people of different ages do, in fact, have different sized mouths. So, it is extremely important to ensure that you purchase the correct size of toothbrush for yourself and your children.
We should always be prepared for any emergencies but oftentimes we cannot handle it ourselves. Cosmetic dentists in Sandy, UT are always willing and able to provide their services during times of dental emergency. It is better that these situations are handled by professionals and experts that have years of experience and are able to prevent the emergency from getting any worse.
